#1 OF 7 TRAVEL, TRAINING & MEALS VIDEO COMING SOON

Strategy 1 of 7 · about 1 minute

Business travel, training & meals

When a trip is mainly for your business, costs like your flight, hotel and class fee may be deductible. Business meals on the trip are generally 50% deductible. The kids' tickets and extra fun days don't count.

Your step today: Make a phone album called "Business Trips" and save the agenda or class receipt from every trip.
#2 OF 7 DEVICES & SOFTWARE VIDEO COMING SOON

Strategy 2 of 7 · under 1 minute

Devices & software

Your laptop, phone and the apps that run your business may be deductible: the business part of them. If the family iPad is also for cartoons and homework, only the business-use share counts.

Your step today: List every app you pay for, and put a star next to the ones you use for your business.
#3 OF 7 OFFICE SUPPLIES VIDEO COMING SOON

Strategy 3 of 7 · about 30 seconds

Office supplies

Paper, ink, pens, labels and shipping boxes for your business may be deductible. School supplies and snacks aren't. Use one card for business, or ask the cashier for two receipts.

Your step today: Put a small "BIZ" sticker on the card you use for business.
#4 OF 7 WEBSITE & HOSTING VIDEO COMING SOON

Strategy 4 of 7 · about 1 minute

Website & hosting

Your domain, hosting, store platform, email tool, logo and booking tools may be deductible. Many renew once a year, so make sure those charges get counted.

Your step today: Search your email for "receipt" plus "domain" or "subscription," and save the business ones in one folder.
#5 OF 7 HOME OFFICE VIDEO COMING SOON

Strategy 5 of 7 · under 1 minute

Home office

The space has to be used regularly and only for your business. The simple method is $5 per square foot, up to 300 square feet. If you only have a W-2 job, this generally isn't available to you.

Your step today: Measure your business space (length times width) and take one photo of it.
#6 OF 7 CAR, MILEAGE & MORE TEXT LESSON · NO VIDEO YET

Strategy 6 of 7 · read it here

Car & mileage, health insurance, retirement

Drives for supplies, clients, markets or bank deposits may count. School drop-off doesn't. If you pay for your own health insurance, or save in a SEP IRA or Solo 401(k), those may help too.

Your step today: Take a photo of your car's odometer today.
#7 OF 7 ADS, LICENSES & DUES VIDEO COMING SOON

Strategy 7 of 7 · about 1 minute

Advertising, licenses & dues

Ads, business cards, flyers, your business or professional license, sales tax permit fees, and professional memberships are write-offs many moms forget.

Your step today: Book a free 15-minute call to see which of the 7 strategies fit you.
